Hope you had a nice 4th celebrating our wonderful country. We had an interesting 4th. It was more of a “catch up” weekend at our place. Lots of gardening, dragging water sprinklers around and the usual yard clean up. Our farrier came to take care of our three girls (donkey’s) and they must have been celebrating also because they were so good this time. Actually, I think they were just too hot to put up much fuss! They all got hoofs trimmed, got good brushing, fly repellent administered and all got their yummy worm paste. Go figure, they think it is a great treat. The goats all got wormed, fly oil administered and lots of extra treats. We only had to rope one. He seriously came very close to climbing a tree! He did not want to be wormed!!
Although it was not a very exciting July holiday we had a nice weekend. On July 4th evening we celebrated with delicious fried chicken and watched a beautiful fireworks show from our farm front lawn!
P.S.- Did I mention that I was not paying attention and got my hand in a wasp’s nest? I am not allergic and a dose of Benadryl fixed me up fine!
