Last year I bumped into the “Mother lode” of vintage chairs! Found three of these old metal chairs and each had a varying patina and look. Two of the chairs I kept with the weathered look. Simply applied one coat of sealer to each chair to protect the patina. I painted the third chair in a rich nutmeg brown. Each chair is used in different rooms throughout our farmhouse. Now, I need to go hunting for cute cushion slipcover fabric for each chair. That will be a good February project. These old chairs are really special. I have never seen any other metal chair like them and I do love their look. They really fit well with my vintage farmhouse decor. I am glad to have rescued these wonderful vintage chairs. Many a beautiful metal chair has met a rusty demise simply discarded in someone’s yard. As the saying goes ” Someone’s junk is another’s treasure”. I love finding “treasures”.

Congratulations on your wonderful find!
You do have a treasure there.
And it was a bargin so I love it double!
I’m a sucker for old chairs… I have a set from my Grandmother’s farmhouse dining table. I love them, and I would have plenty more vintage chairs… if my sweet hubby didn’t pull the leash everytime I darted towards them!
I love old stuff! These 3 chairs are really fun and each looks different because of their patina. I am searching for material for cute slip covers right now.
