Cowboy the Goat, Not the Hubby

This is one of our pet Boer goats and he is adorable. He is a little bit hesitant in his contact with us, but gets better with time. All our goats let us love, hug and rub on them. They also let us worm them and give them any needed medications. Cowboy makes all of this a bit hard. When it comes to worming time we must catch and halter him. We have a great Vet who is very patient with Cowboy. Last time our Vet was here, he had to rope Cowboy, in order to check him. What an ordeal. Guess vet does not mind as he has been back since then. Cowboys name came from his markings which look like he has a saddle on him. He is really very cute and has some very endearing ways about him. He also makes us laugh. This picture exemplifies how darn cute he is. Always looking for trouble!

  1. You tease! Thought I’d ge to see hubby! ;D
Cowboy was worth the click though!

  2. Thank you ma’am, this post just inspired me to write something about goats. Really.

Well, not everyone needs to talk about their goats! But, he is pretty funny so I felt the need. Thanks for the visit!

  3. That is the cutest little guy. I love all of your pictures.

Hope you come back and dance around the kitchen with our little group. Think we’re going to have a great time. Don’t worry about dancing 20 minutes. I couldn’t dance that long to the rolling stones either.

I will come and dance! I am hoping to use our new Wii also with the dancing. I need to get this body in shape for summer, fast!

  4. Great name for him. And it sounds like he’s always wanting to ride off into the sunset, just like a cowboy … especially at de-worming time. (Ew!) =>

  5. Your goat’s reaction to the vet sounds much like my toddler at the pediatrician. After he’s wormed, does he earn a princess sticker?
