A mountain lion mom and her cubs were spotted in our friends back yard last week in Montana. Thanks to J. for catching this great shot right outside his den window.

Yes, their chickens had gone inside, but the ducks were still in pond. The mama had killed a deer and she and cubs were dining on that. Poor deer, Lucky Ducks!
I would love to say, oh what a pretty cat. But after how badly torn up my mare was last year (b/c she was attacked while foaling) and how the damn thing ate and carried off her baby, I can no longer say that.
I know. They are pretty, but oh so mean.
