Today’s photo is a beautiful barn that I love because it is old, big and red. I also like the character of the old white fence that surrounds it. I took many barn photos this summer and will be sharing them with you this year. I find old barns and old fences irresistible. I adore when I find a barn to photograph and it obviously has been cared for. I also know how hard money is to come by for many farmers and ranchers just trying to hold onto the land that has been in their family for many generations. Although they probably value their barn the money is not available to preserve it. I love barns in any form of repair or disrepair and each is a joy to photograph.
This barn had fresh coat of red paint and had a new tin roof. It will be around for many years for everyone to enjoy in the future. (Click on photo to enlarge)

Beautiful Photo ~I look forward to seeing more. When I see barns on our travels I always think of my great grammas farm. Thanks for reminding me.
Yes, I imagine many of us have fond memories of a special barn…
I love that barn. I love it when people maintain the barns well so they are around for a long time. It’s such a shame when you see beautiful barns that are falling down because no one bothered to take care of the roof.
Yes, I talked with a woman who has a huge old lovely barn and her only wish is to save enough money to put a new roof on it. Made me sad.

Every detail on that barn seems well loved. Thanks for such a feel-good photo!
You are welcome! They make me happy.
Barns are such a vanishing part of our past! I love the picture!
It is a pity that we are losing so many. Such a shame.
I have a soft spot for old barns too! I would love an old hip roof barn to use for my horses, they have so much character and charm!
I would simply love to have one on my property to view every single day. My barn cannot compete with this beauty…
Very cool, those barns are good for a lot of different things.
Yes, I can think of many and wish I had one of these!
Beautiful composition! I just want to step into that picture!
Thanks. I think the fence makes the photo so I actually had nothing to do with it. Just great content.
LOVE it!
I bet you are in barn country!!
Love old barns too. I love wide open spaces and cowgirl hearts. I am a cowgirl living in NC originally from WYOMING. I miss my cowboy state. Love your website. Who designed it? Is it a free website service like wordpress? Love the bottle tabs for social media at top of page.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the nice words! This is a WordPress site. The company who designed it is listed at bottom of my homepage. She is fantastic. I love the bottlecaps too!!!
