Our Best Friend’s Hat

Our best friend is still wearing his hat. As I told you on December 13th he did not ask to wear this hat, but he was given it anyway. His family and friends did not want him to wear this hat. In spite of everything he has worn it with dignity, strength and has been fighting the battle with the determination of a grizzly. He continues this fight.

Cancer has changed his life. It forever changed the lives of his family and friends also. Our world has changed, but we are learning things along the way. Hopefully, it has made us better and given us the strength to help our friend meet his challenges. I also hope we are more patient, more kind and more attune to the gift we all have of simply being here in this astonishing world. We have the capacity within us all to enjoy every second on this amazing life journey. Our friend continues to teach us all about seizing every minute.

Our friend is taking a trip to visit his special “Little Taste of Wonderful” where he can enjoy his beautiful mountains, grassy meadows and daily sights that all of us dream about.

Take that Big C- our friend will not be letting you keep him from his summer wonderland.

And me-I will be taking a short break from blogging. I will be back with with you in a week or so.

  1. Sending you prayers for your friend. Grateful your friend has a friend like you to support the fight! <3

  2. Definitely will be thinking of your friend. Yes, when the Big C hits someone close to home, you begin to see things with different eyes. Yes…fight it like a grizzly!

  3. Hi!

Finally have had some time to stop by and thank you for visiting RMKK. I enjoyed several of your posts (your mother is beautiful) and am very curious about which part of Montana you are in, as I am in the Flathead.

Your latest post is somber and may I express my sincere wish for your friends full recovery.

I am subscribing to your blog so it will be easier for me to catch up with you in the future.

    All my best,

    RMKK Companion

Thanks so much for stopping by! I am home now. I was visiting NW Montana which was so lovely this time of year. A hard trip, but I did get to see some of the amazing views that only Montana has…
