Garden of the Gods

Have you ever visited Garden of the Gods outside of Colorado Springs?

Balloons

Colorful Rock

GOG Big

Rock Climber

Visited Colorado Springs a couple of weeks ago with a friend. We had a fabulous time in Colorado. The weather was beautiful and niceĀ and we were able to visit all the places I love. One of my favorites is the Garden of the Gods. I picked a few photos to share with you. A group of kids had a balloon release just as I snapped my camera. Fun to get the balloons next to the mountain. I also caught a pic of a rock climber in one photo. If you ever visit Colorado Springs a visit to Garden of the Gods is a must and best of all it is owned by the city and totally free! The rock formations are amazing and like none you will see anywhere. I was so very glad to get a “beauty” fix before all the holiday craziness begins!

  1. Good morning! Took the Gkids this last Oct. , we try and go every year or so.Just love the rocks! Usually drive the loop at least twice. The history of a cowboy campground is so interesting and the family kept their father’s wishes for the public to enjoy it forever, by donating it to Colorado Springs, never to be developed! Glad you had fun!

The rock formations are so different- just love it! The mountains in Colorado are different than yours! Hope you are enjoying your snow!! XOXO

  2. We have not made it out west yet. It’s on the top of the list for the year we turn 50 though! These rock formations are just magnificent. I thought maybe that was you, Weekend Cowgirl, in that last photo! What a good idea to get in some relaxation and pretty sights before the holidays begin.
(PS, I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving!)
