Fabulous Farmhouse Find

Last year I bumped into the “Mother lode” of vintage chairs! Found three of these old metal chairs and each had a varying patina and look. Two of the chairs I kept with the weathered look.  Simply applied one coat of sealer to each chair to protect the patina. I painted the third chair in a […]

Retro Cowboy Lamp Shade

This is a cute retro cowboy lampshade that we have in the kids farm guest room. I love the look of the 50’s material. It is so much fun that adorable accessories are available on the market today. Glad that vintage 50’s is in!

Barn Wood Cross

Took a picture on girls weekend of this rustic wooden cross. I  put it on Cowboy’s list of things to do!  I can get the stars at the local flea to attach to it. This will be an easy project for Cowboy to make and will be a fun new thing to put out in the yard next […]

More Junk, Anyone?

I am crazy about “junk”, but it must be cute junk! Well… at least cute to me. This is a baby blue vintage enamel pail that I found at a antique store. It sits in my bedroom and serves as a magazine holder for all my Texas Highways magazines and it is one of my favorite things! […]

Gotta Get a Bargain!

I love a good bargain! Got this old 50s metal stool at a junk store for $2. It was rusty and one leg broken. A little work on leg & almond spray paint and it is good as new…nearly. Next summer it will make a cool plant stand on my porch.

The Real Deal

This cute green cowboy material is actually from the 1950s! It is the real thing and not a new retro fabric. I found this in an antique store. I actually knew more than one person who had this fabric in the 1950s in the small town where I grew up!

More Retro Cowboy

This is a cute blanket throw in retro cowboy. I love these materials. I would not want an entire room in them, but a piece here and there as an accent is nice.

Retro Cowboy

I really love all the cowboy retro materials from the 40s & 50s! I can remember when growing up actually seeing these materials in houses. Anyway, found some material at a local flea and made into a pillow. It just gives me a good feeling to look at it!

I LOVE Birdhouses!

I am crazy for birdhouses. Always have loved them and always had them around my house. I have them on poles all over the farm. Am hoping that the telephone and electric companies do not mind me borrowing space! This spring I added a few old cedar posts and put birdhouses on top for a […]
