This Truck is Stylin’

Imagine owning this beautiful vintage truck and cruising down the highway! How much fun would that be? Spotted this antique truck in Whitefish, Montana this summer. Wow, I love the color and love the truck. Cowboy and I would look pretty cool riding to town in this!

Best Retro Texaco Gas Station Ever!

When traveling on our “Girl Trip” Sunday (see previous post) we found this darling antique retro gas station. It was absolutely the cutest gas station I have ever seen. It was an original filling station from the 50s. Someone had painstakingly restored it back to the 50s. It is a full service station and pristine. I […]

Heirloom Quilt

I love vintage quilts. I am fortunate to have a few from both my side of the family and also from my husband’s family. My father’s grandmother and great grandmother were excellent quilt makers and I enjoy having a few from them. My husband’s grandmother made many quilts to pass on to future generations. I […]

Vintage Plaid Tin Picnic Basket

Look at this precious tin vintage plaid picnic basket a dear friend gave me! Imagine what a lovely surprise it was to find this under my Christmas tree. It is going to fit in perfect with my other vintage farm tin boxes/baskets from the 50s. I just have a few, but this is bigger than my others […]

Vintage Tin Picnic Baskets

I have a passion for nearly everything from the 50s. I really love the antique vintage tin picnic baskets and vintage bread boxes. Here are two examples of the bread boxes. I just have a couple of these, but would love to have lots of them! Saw a darling picture in magazine where they had stacked […]

Farmers Market Truck

This is the coolest truck I have seen in years. Spotted it in Montana at a produce market. It just makes a statement! The owner of the truck delivers his produce and plants in this truck. What a treasure he has in being the owner of this vintage truck.

Bike Heaven

Saw this darling old vintage fence with the old bikes attached to it. Very cute. Unfortunately, there was a huge “For Sale” sign posted on the property. I suspect the fence and bikes will be torn down soon. But, for now it is charming in it’s own strange way.

Unusual Bed & Breakfast

Went with girlfriends for a holiday shopping weekend. We stayed at a really fun Bed & Breakfast that was composed of old cabins from the past. Many are quite rustic, but very cute. Nothing better than shopping with friends! I did not buy very much, but just seeing all the holiday decorations put me in […]

More Junk, Anyone?

I am crazy about “junk”, but it must be cute junk! Well… at least cute to me. This is a baby blue vintage enamel pail that I found at a antique store. It sits in my bedroom and serves as a magazine holder for all my Texas Highways magazines and it is one of my favorite things! […]

Gotta Get a Bargain!

I love a good bargain! Got this old 50s metal stool at a junk store for $2. It was rusty and one leg broken. A little work on leg & almond spray paint and it is good as new…nearly. Next summer it will make a cool plant stand on my porch.

Blast From the Past

You have not lived until you have plunked yourself on one of these old metal motel lawn chairs from the 1950s. Growing up they were at every travel motel sitting under the trees and if you were lucky, by the pool! I have had a love for these chairs forever. I finally found a few […]

Antique Chicken Coup

Our farm has an old chicken coup that was built around late 1800’s. It used to be in the cattle & sheep pasture. That pasture now has my donkey’s and pet goats. I have always loved this little structure. It was a rickety falling down little thing that had seen better days. A few years […]
