Welcome to Weekend Cowgirl! We’re happy to have you and hope y’all stay for a while.

It seems like these days, there’s a blog for just about everything. Travel, fashion, photography, cooking–some people make blogs just to show the world what they ate for lunch. But we noticed something was missing. In today’s modern world, people forget their roots. We’re forgetting what it’s like to work on a farm all day and ride home with the sun setting behind the mountains. We’re forgetting that we used to live among nature, instead of destroying it. We forget how to live without cell phones and technology.

And that needs to change.

At Weekend Cowgirl, we’ve created this blog to remind you about the joys of western living. We’re all about the farms, the cacti, the mountains, the desert scenery. We’re here to remind you how breathtaking it is to drive through the desert highways and become one with nature again. We’re going to teach you how to live on a farm and show you the rewards of a hard day’s work. We’re going to give thanks to the sky and the hot desert air.

And down-home in Texas, there’s no better place to get in touch with your country roots. We’re a state that truly understands the meeting of southern hospitality. We welcome strangers with open arms and treat guests like they’re members of our family. We love life, we love what we do, and we give thanks every day for the blessings we’ve been given. We know that there’s no place else in America like Texas. It’s why everyone wants to be us, and no one can imitate us. Our larger-than-life personalities are the stuff of legends, but no more so than the Old West and the stories that have sprung from it.

So if you’re ready to get a taste of western life, check out our blog and dive right in. We’ve got tips, stories, advice, photography, myths, and legends to give you a taste of that western life you’ve been craving. If you’d like to talk to us or ask us a question, shoot us a message! We’re always happy to hear from new friends.

Grab your saddle, strap on your boots, and head out to the ranch: it’s time to spend your weekend with the Weekend Cowgirl.
